Windtree Golf Course
Third Time's A Charm... Again
Well, Jason Millard made his third SixTourTN start and for the third time in a row took home the trophy. The former MTSU standout was able to birdie the 18th, leading to a one stroke victory over Ryan Allison. Millard took advantage of a beautiful, albeit windy, day on Mt. Juliet's Windtree Golf Course as he shot a 7-under round of 65. For Allison, this isn't the first time he has come close to claiming victory on SixTour; however, today wasn't the day he would claim that first victory. Two-time winner Grant Leaver got off to hot start, making an eagle at the par-5 sixth just before sinking a 50 foot putt for birdie on the seventh, which led him to 4-under par in a hurry. However, Leaver could not maintain pace and finished with a 4-under par round of 68 - good enough for third. The SixTour Cup Pot now stands at $130 and will continue to grow with each event.
Windtree proved to be a strong start to the SixTourTN season and next week will lead to a new chapter for the Tour, as we head to the East Tennessee and Avalon Golf & Country Club in Lenoir City. Entry forms can be found on the Schedule Page and remember, Bring Your Game!
